Spiral wound gaskets have specific properties due to their design. They are used mainly in the area of high pressures and under critical operating conditions. We offer this type of industrial gasket in several variants, including both rings or without inner and outer rings [SD01/SD10], as well as in combination with outer or inner rings [SD20/SD30]. The sealing system includes soft fillings in the form of integrated graphite or PTFE strips.
Applications: Established sealing system for the chemical and petro-chemical sector, in conventional power and nuclear power stations, for steam generation and in device construction, especially wherever high temperatures and pressures have to be managed safely. Used in pipeline flanges, device and container flanges, pumps and valves. Can be used for very high operating pressures and/or temperatures. Can be supplied with graphite or PTFE as non-metallic material, for higher temperatures with mica insert.
