Flat PTFE gaskets made of Dyneon™ TFM™ are among the high-quality forms of modern gaskets. They are chemically modified PTFE with a non-stick smooth surface and other extraordinary properties in the form of significantly less deformation under load [even at higher operating temperatures] and reduced gas and vapor permeability [effect of a homogeneous structure with a minimum of pores]. Special properties can be achieved with biaxially oriented PTFE under the UNIFLUOR® brand with additives in the form of glass microspheres, silicate or barium sulfate, depending on the requirements of the given application.
Applications: Non-metallic gaskets for pipeline flanges, device and containerflanges, pumps and valves. Broad range of applications primarily in the chemical and petro-chemical sector. Use in the food sector and pharmaceutical production. Non-metallic layers for corrugated metal and Kammprofile serrated gaskets as well as insert for spiral wound gaskets. For designs with inner eyelets, used for increased requirements for cleanliness and blow-out resistance [technical tightness]. Use in oxygen applications depends on the compound [BAM-test report].
